We're Green
Earth Stewardship encourages the congregation to “go green” as we show our concern for God’s creation. Projects have included planting a prairie restoration field on the church grounds, improving lighting and energy use in the church building, encouraging use of safe cleaning products, setting up recycling at the church, and more.
The Monarch Waystation Project
By creating and maintaining a Monarch Waystation we are contributing to monarch conservation, an effort that will help assure the preservation of the species and the continuation of the spectacular monarch migration phenomenon. Members and friends gather eggs and caterpillars into special screened boxes during the Monarch life cycle. Adult butterflies are released by the church. During the fall migration, flowers provide nourishment to Monarchs on their journey.
